FAQs
how do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment through the ‘Let’s Connect’ button at the bottom of my website or by emailing me directly at juliapapale@gmail.com.
how often are sessions and where do they take place?
I recommend consistent, weekly therapy at the beginning of our work. Consistency is key, especially as we do the deeper therapeutic work and build our relationship. Once we’ve been working together for some time and you feel ready to move to bi-weekly, we can absolutely do so.
I see clients virtually via Zoom. When working virtually, it is important that you are able to take sessions in a confidential setting.
do you take insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance. However, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement from the insurance company. This is how many of my clients afford therapy. When speaking with your insurance company, here are some questions you might ask:
Do I have out-of-network benefits?
Do I have a deductible? If so, how much has been met so far?
How much of each session will be covered?
Is there a limited number of sessions I can book per year?
How do I submit my reimbursement receipts?
What are the benefits of paying out of pocket?
Insurance companies require a mental-health diagnosis, as well as have access to your medical records, remaining eligible to request your information at any point. They may also dictate the number of sessions you are able to attend per year, despite what it is you feel you need. Paying out-of-pocket can allow for highly personalized, individualized service that is tailored entirely to you. Some find it is a better fit when considering the implications of utilizing insurance, while others opt for insurance reimbursement where possible. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
what are your fees?
I offer a sliding scale based on financial need. Please reach out for further information.
how do i pay and What is your cancellation policy?
I will charge your credit card the morning of our meeting via Square. I also accept cash payment if that is preferable. Please note that I have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy which is in place to ensure that we are honoring our set time together, as consistency in the work is important.
